“Thank you for stepping into the world of my artwork. I hope to gather a community of kindred spirits—artists, enthusiasts, and dreamers—united in a shared vision. Together, we can spark meaningful conversations and collaborate on solutions to the pressing social, ecological, political, and spiritual challenges of our time. Through our efforts, may we bring forward art that not only inspires, but helps shape a more beautiful, thoughtful, and empathetic world.” -J. Cedar

“I am an artist whose practice embraces both the familiar and the uncharted. My artistic journey has been shaped by a continuous pursuit of new ideas and techniques and spans a wide range of mediums—from traditional visual arts like oil, ink, and acrylic painting, to found-object collage, wooden crafts, costume, and mask design. Each piece is an experiment in form and meaning. Some of my art reflects my response to the social and political currents of our time. It serves as a commentary on issues like authoritarianism, the erosion of democratic values, and inequality, though I aim to avoid simple opposition. Instead of offering just critique, my work conveys an underlying belief in the possibility of change, focusing on acknowledging the challenges we face and the strength, beauty, creativity, motivation and solidarity needed for a more equitable future. In all of my work, I seek to connect the personal with the collective, balancing the challenges of the present with an awareness of the creative potential that exists in moments of uncertainty. My art invites viewers to consider both the urgency of the moment and the quiet potential for transformation.” -Cedar Fox Jan 1, 2025
