Cryptic Sunshine
“My Cryptic Sunshine collection is a reflection of my more unconventional works, blending the unexpected in ways that still stay true to my artistic vision. As an explorer of materials and new approaches, I embrace what I have at hand—often the most unusual elements—turning them into something unexpected and beautiful. It’s my way of overcoming the fear of running out of creative possibilities, always pushing the boundaries of what art can be“

At the Water’s Edge
“These unknown creatures are playing in the shallow depths of a lake. Inspired by pets acting bonkers when they are allowed to frolic “At the Water’s Edge” ink on stone paper 5×7″ (sold)

Shadow Boxes
Assemblage of 8 pieces in red, blue, black and white. A love story in homage to Joseph Cornell by Cedar Fox 2018. The largest is 4×4″ and the smallest is less than 2″ made of found objects (available)
One honors police officers and includes a badge that you can remove and wear. The others are about the fragility and vulnerability of falling for another.
An April FooL
“On the first of April, for me, it is really about being aware and keen enough to recognize when you are being fooled and having the fun chance to fool another. This playful painting is a reminder that one has to be willing to look at things in a new way in order to really figure out something new. The bat gave me the idea, the Tarot too, and the owl wasn’t so interested, oddly”

Unchained Heart
“This painting is of course about LOVE and relationships. I wrote at the time, that it is “Less about you and more about me; I had the key all along”

Carbonated Revelry
“New Year’s eve on a microscopic level. Imagined; as in not proven to be real [or not real] (wink wink)”

7.5x 10.5 inches, mixed media on paper, by Cedar Fox, 2022 (available)

First Steps
This is one of my most personal pieces and the oldest piece I will feature. Centrally it is about the loss of a baby during the first trimester. The loss never leaves you. Every circle that is drawn reminds me of him or her, and the future we never were able to have together. The caterpillar represents change and the swimmers behind are about chance”
